Kentucky. The text is as follows:

I, Ezekiel Rice of the County of Muhlenburg and State of Kentucky in
the
name of God Amen. Being in the decline of life, but of sound mind and
disposing memory, and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and the
certainty of death, and wishing to dispose of my worldly affects of
which
the Lord has blessed me with, to my own liking, do make this my last
will
and testament. to wit. I will my Just Debts to be paid first.
Secondly,
I will that my sons James W. Rice and Moses M. Rice have the land on
which I now live, containing two hundred acres, with the
appurtainances
thereon. I will my son Thomas J. Rice the tract of land on which he
now
lives, containing one hundred acres with the apportainances thereon.
I
will that my son Moses M. Rice and my daughter Louisa J. Duvall have
all
my horses, cattle, hogs, sheep, farming utensils, household and
kitchen
furniture. I will unto my sons James W. Rice and Moses M. Rice all my
smith tools. I will that all my slaves be equally divided among my
children, the part going to Mary C. Rice, I will to her to do with as
she
pleases, as I do not intend that William B. Rice, her husband, shall
have
any control of it whatever. after my Debt is paid, it is my wish that
the
said slaves be kept in the family, that is among my children, if it
can
be done satisfactorily among them. I also appoint my sons Thomas J.
Rice
and James W. Rice my executors. Whereunto I have set my hand and
affixed
my seal this 7th day of December 1846.
