Ezra Benjamin Edelman (born August 6, 1974) is an American documentary producer and director. Contents [show] Early life and education[edit] Edelman was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the son of children's rights activist Marian Wright Edelman and Georgetown University law professor Peter B. Edelman. He has two brothers, Joshua, an educational administrator, and Jonah, co-founder and CEO of Stand for Children. Edelman graduated from Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. in July 1992,[1] before going on to earn his baccalaureate from Yale University.[2] Directing and producing[edit] Edelman is best known for producing and directing the 2016 documentary film O.J.: Made in America for ESPN's 30 for 30.[3][4][5][6][7][8][2] Previously he directed three HBO Sports documentaries: Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals,[3][4][8] The Curious Case of Curt Flood (2011)[3] and the Emmy Award-winning Brooklyn Dodgers: Ghosts of Flatbush.[4][2][9] He did a special on the former Big East Conference called Requiem for the Big East.[10] Won Oscar "Best Documentary Feature" in 2017.
