About Fanie Keyser
Fanie Keyser (1960 – 2007)
Brief overview:
Fanie (47) was shot and collapsed on the porch. His wife, Annelize, heard two gun shots. She ran and hid in the bedroom, and her son, JC (13), under a bed. Through the closed bedroom door, one of the attackers said in Afrikaans, "We are only looking for money and will not do anything to you." He managed to push the barrel of the gun through the door and fired a shot. JC managed to get out of the house and get take the panic button from around his fathers neck, and also call from his cellphone for help. Fanie was rushed to a doctor living close by, but died shortly afterwards.
The Onderberg police dog unit responded. A bullet, presumably that of an AK47, was later found in a room.
