About Fanny Goldstein
Fanny Goldstein (Müller) was raised in Stórmede and was married to Jacob Goldstein from Grevenbroich in 1891. At nearly the same time, Fanny's brother Bernhard Müller married Jacob's sister Rosa Goldstein. Jacob and Fanny lived in Rees at least through the births of their three daughters. From the Düsseldorf address books, by 1910 they had moved to Simrockstr. 60 in Dusseldorf. Jacob Goldstein died in 1912. After that date, she is listed in Düsseldorf address books as Jakob Goldstein, wwe. through the 1924 volume; in 1925 her listing became Goldstein, Fanny, Frau, Grafenberg, Simrockstr. 60 with a telephone number. She is again listed in the 1927 address book, but not in the 1929 or 1933 editions.
It isn't exactly clear when Fanny Goldstein moved to the Netherlands, where she lived in the 1930s with her daughter Sibilla (called Bella) Goldstein, Sibilla's husband Simon Anholt, and their children. Fanny died in Haarlem just one week after the successful German invasion of the Netherlands on May 10, 1940. No cause of death is listed in the death registration.
The following Dutch language section is taken from the death record for Fanny Goldstein. The record indicates that Goldstein's mother was "Tanline" Weiler; it was actually Pauline Weiler.
