About Felipe Tayko
Felipe Tayko was a major during the Spanish colonial period when he led revolutionaries from Siaton and, later, insurgents from Southern Negros; he was credited with liberating several towns in the area. He was appointed governor of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental in October of 1912. He was appointed as Assembly man for the second district of Oriental Negros (1916 to 1919) during the American colonial period. After the death of Margarita in the early 1900s, Felipe married her sister Pilar (who was a widow). Malabon de Sevilla Tree Custodian, 2018
