About Felix Paschal Simon Albuquerque
Youngest son of Alexis. Businessman, Corporator and Philanthropist. Expanded tile factory till it was the largest single unit owned by an Indian in Mangalore. As a member of the DIstrict Board and the municipality, he took measures to clear slums and construct new buildings. Responsible for the 250-acre Chotamangalore colony in Ullal. In mangamore, his name is commermorated in places such as "Felix Pai Bazar". Also remembered for his benefactions to churches , schools, etc. and donation of land at Angelore to Sisters of Charity fo the foundation of the Capitanio Convent and High School (1941). In 1933 he financed a reception for Nehru when he came to Mangalore during the National Freedome movement
