Registered for a ship journey to Wellington NZ in 1914 (to be a farmer), but cancelled presumably to sign up for the war. he died in France sometime later.
There is a relative named Kate Thetford nee Hoadley who followed her husband to NZ in late 1800s (see family tree). She had a son who lost a leg in 1915 (Gallipoli?) .
There is also a Felix Hoadley who went to India and other places in the mid 1800s. This is a military family. The name Felix is passed down through several related branches.
