Felix Ramsey Reeves, Sr.

Note: Felix Ramsey Reeves Sr., 88, Burgin, husband of Edna C. Logdon Reeves, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at his residence. Born July 12, 1917 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Henry and Frankie Reeves. He was retired from Ashland Oil Company. He was a member of Lexington Devondale Baptist Church, a member of the Daughters of America #23, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Joanne (Rolland) Newman of Midway and Janis Aubrey of Burgin; three sons, Felix (Doris) Reeves Jr. of Cynthiana, William Lee Reeves of Harrodsburg and David Rix (Wanda) Reeves of Burgin; one sister, Ioma Smith of Shepherdsville; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday, Aug. 24 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main Street, Lexington, with the Rev. Harry Edward Rose and the Rev. Steven Rose officiating. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Lexington.
