Son of Benjamin Ernest & Elsie Evelyn Sutherland of Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand. A Chemist at Tauranga at time of enlistment. Killed on Air Operations near Berlin 1st September 1943, flying a Hadley Page Halifax BII. Buried at the Berlin 1939- 45 War Cemetery, Charlottenburg.
