On 18 November 1910 she departed alone from the port of Naples, Italy on the SS Canopic (White Star Line) to join her husband, Guiseppe, in Portland Maine. The Ship arrived in Boston Harbor (Massachusettes) on 01 December 1910. She arrives with $30 in her pocket. Her passage was paid by her husband.

Lived with daughter Josephine's family after the death of her husband. Spent a number of nights with her son Frank's family because she did not like the severe disciplinarian attitude of her son-in-law, James, toward his children.
