Wife of Daniel B. Baker. The Campbell family, although generally known as of Scottish origin, is actually more likely of Flemish origin, the original family members having emigrated there during the reign of King David I of Scotland.
Flora was a charter member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, USA. Following her husband's death, Flora resided with her son Daniel Malcolm Baker and his family until her death on February 19, 1897. Flora was visiting family when she suddenly died. Because it was raining when she died, family were unable to transport her body to Falcon Cemetery to be buried next to her husband, Daniel, so she is buried in Bethesda Memorial Gardens next to the church that she was a member of.
The children of Daniel B. and Flora Ann Campbell-Baker were Mary Elizabeth (July 10, 1835-July 31, 1867), William James (August 27, 1837-July 1, 1862), Flora Ann (October 26, 1839-December 11, 1907), John Calvin (January 31, 1842-October 11, 1863), Henry Clay (February 7, 1844-December 23, 1862), Daniel Malcolm (September 5, 1846-February 21, 1943), Margaret Jennet “Jennie” (September 28, 1848-January 12, 1918) and Peter McDonald (March 10, 1852-May 2, 1916).
