Her mother died at her house in 1921 after a short illness.

It is unclear if Flora died or the couple separated and divorced. Her husband remarried Beulah Price but there is no publicly available record of when that marriage took place. There were no children to either marriage. Beulah lived to be 102 and there is an obituary available for her. The only publicly available tree has only his second marriage. There is now a tree that has Flora remarrying in 1943 to Walter E Mills. Her parents names are on the marriage document. She must have divorced from Clarence Fortnum. She was working as a secretary at the YWCA on her marriage and her age is reduced by some 7 years.
