Forman Constance Thomas, age 90, of Grove St., N., Dahlonega, Georgia, died Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at the Bell Minor Nursing Home in Gainesville, Georgia, following a period of declining health.

Born February 23,1916 in Forsyth County, Georgia, Mrs. Thomas had lived in Dahlonega since 1939. She was the daughter of the late Furman and Nina Thompson Williams and was also preceded in death by her Husband, Fred Wesley Thomas, Sr., and a Brother, Robert Williams. Mrs. Thomas had worked as a secretary/receptionist with the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce for almost 34 years beginning on June 16, 1960, was a member of the Dahlonega Women's Club, was a member of the Dahlonega Rotary Club, Woodmen of the World, UMW Club, was Gold Rush Queen in 1985 and was a member of the order of the Eastern Star # 333, where she was inducted on Oct. 20, 1947, was made member emeritus on Oct. 31, 1977, received her 5o year pin in 1998 and was the piano player for many years. Mrs. Thomas receive the Magnificent Seven Gold Award in 2000. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Dahlonega United Methodist Church.

Survivors include - SONS & DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW - Fred W. Thomas, Jr. and his Wife Barbara, of Gainesville, Ga.; Michael E. Thomas and his wife Linda, of Vero Beach, Fla.; GRANDSONS - Wesley Thomas, of Gainesville, Ga.; Richard Thomas, of Windermere, Fla.; and Stephen Thomas, of Sanford, Fla.; Nephews also survive.
