Country musician who was the first to play the pedal steel guitar on a hit record. Isaacs added the foot & knee pedals to the steel guitar in 1953, then shortly afterward, performed on Webb Pierce's 1953 hit "Slowly". Bud Isaacs performed on the Grand Ol'Opry starting in 1950. He was a solo recording artist for RCA in the mid 1950's. He was the steel guitar for such performers as Jimmy Dickens, Red Foley, Jim Reeves, Harkshaw Hawkins, Skeeter Davis, Chet Atkins, Kitty Wells, and many others.
