Brief overview:
Fran (65) was murdered in her home in Marina da Gama, Cape Town on 17th October 2020. Her husband, William (71) was found laying outside with a gunshot wound to the stomach. She had sustained knife wounds to her head and back, and found on the kitchen floor.
Initially believed to be a home invasion murder as William Carter had told police that two men had attacked the couple in the house. Carter was arrested for the murder of his wife one week later, and appeared in the Muizenberg Magistrates Court.
