A John Francis lived next door born 1719 Chester, Pa., father was William and Ann Francis, spouse was Mary Erwin b- abt 1734 parrents - Mathew Erwin and elizabeth.

2. i. FRANCIS ERWIN, b. Abt. 1729, Ulster, Ireland; d. Abt. 1791, Augusta County, VA. ( I don't know where this birth year was found for Francis, most online trees have 1710-1713)

ii. JOHN ERWIN, m. JANE WILLIAMS. b c 1715, died before 15 Feb 1761 when his will was proven. Their children; Edward, Benjamin, Samuel, Andrew, John, William, Jean, Margaret, Mary (m Alex. Curry), Frances and Francis.

iii. ROBERT ERWIN, m. ANN CROCKETT. Presbyterian Minister. Deed Bk 2, pg 125 From Benjamin Borden, made before 1742 and rec 6 Feb 1748/49. Settled in Rockbridge County, VA. Deed dated 15 Nov 1751 100 AC from Borden's Tract adj Frances and William Brown. His will named his wife Ann and issue; Sons Robert, Benjamin, Edward, Jonas, Joseph and daughter Hannah who married James Logan.

v. EDWARD ERWIN, m. MARY CURRY. [SIC: Ann, seen as Corry, widow of James Patterson)

vi. FRANCES ERWIN married William Brown as evidenced by her father's will dated 13 Jan 1772 and proved 19 May 1772 Augusta County, VA.

vii ELIZABETH ERWIN married Robert Law as evidenced by the will of her father and also an Augusta Co, VA court judgement citing Elizabeth Law against her husband Robert Law dated 20 June 1775.

viii BENJAMIN ERWIN married Mary Curry. Evidenced by the deed dated 24 April 1790, Joseph Erwin, heir of Benjamin Erwin, dec'd, of Johnston County, NC, conveyed to John Erwin 350 ac of land in Augusta Co, VA which had been patented to Edward Erwin in 1748.
