Frances Hex

EXTRACT OF QUEENSTOWN FREE PRESS 1886 "DIED,- At Queenstown, on Friday 28th May, 1886, Frances, beloved wife of William HEX, formerly of Surrey, England, aged 58 years, 6 months and 23 days. Note of Thanks.- Mr. HEX and family, desire to tender their heartfelt thanks to all those kind friends who assisted in the time of their sad affliction and bereavement, more especially to Mr., Mrs., and Miss MUSKETT.

The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on the farm on 17th ult. On 28th ult., Mrs. HEX, the wife of Mr. Wm. HEX, who resided for years on the Katberg, but who latterly has carried on business in Queenstown, died somewhat suddenly, although she had been in indifferent health for some time. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, the melan-ceremony being performed by the Rev. J.P. RITCHIE, a large assemblage being present. At the grave the choir sung the hymn "Art thou weary?""
