20 Aug 1915 Evening Post [WOMEN IN PRINT] The marriage of Miss Frances Mary Benge, daughter of Mr. H. Benge, of Greytown, to Mr. Alfred J. W. Hobbs, youngest son of Mr. J. W. Hobbs, of Kiwitaki, took place lately at St. Luke's Church, Greytown, when the Rev. A. W. H. Compton officiated. The bride wore a handsome gown of ivory satin, and a veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely bouquet of freesias, iris, and maidenhair fern. Miss Rye Benge and Miss Elsa Terry were the brides-maids. They wore maize satin dresses and black velvet hats, and their presents from the bridegroom were a morocco handbag and a gold pendant. Mr. H. Benge was the best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a. set of handsome furs, and the bride's present was a leather suit case. Mr and Mrs. Hobbs left later for the South, Mrs. Hobbs wearing a tailor gown of navy serge and a black hat.
