Frances Horowitz

Frances and Milo Hastings were never married.

Everett Francis Taft (Hastings) was the biological child of Milo Milton Hastings and Frances Horowitz. Milo and Frances had an affair in 1911, and Everett was born out of wedlock, as Milo was married at that time to Beatrice Hastings (Hill).

Milo and Frances parted ways when Everett was an infant, and Frances raised Everett on her own until she was hospitalized for mental illness. Frances died in a mental institution in 1920.

By this time Milo had been divorced by his first wife, and had married his cousin Sybil Hastings (Butler).

After Frances died Milo gave Everett up for private adoption to Jessie Taft. Everett was raised by Jessie and her partner Virginia Pollard Robinson.
