GEDCOM Note

Sandra Fuller Fihser, sampsfaol.com, a descendent of Lucinda Reno, says that Lucinda was the daughter of Lewis Reno and Mary Lucinda Shropshire, and the wife of Strother Moses Hawkins. The 1850 census for Fannin Co., TX showed S.M. Hawkins 41 born in VA; James 17 Mo; Hulda E. 15 MO; S.M. 12 MO; James S. 10 MO; J.C. 8 MO; E.G. 6 MO; M.F. 4 MO; and S.R. 2 TX. Also in Fannin Co., in 1850 is Andrew Bird Hawkins 45 VA, his wife Eliza 38 KY (nee Elizabeth Reno), and 5 children: Juleann 14 MO; James A. 10 MO; Cynthia C. 9 MO; Lucinda A. 4 TX; and Mary M. 1 TX. This suggests that Srother and his brother Andrew married the Reno sisters in Missouri, and then moved their families to Fannin Co., TX between 1845 and 1847 after Frances Lucinda died.

See Reno/Reneau source.

Life Sketch

Seems to have died while giving birth to her last child, Mary Frances (born same day as her death, 27 May 1845).
