Frances Morris's birth surname is technically unknown. However, DNA links a descendant of her with a descendant of the Jonathan Daniels family. Jonathan Daniels left New London, CT, and traveled to Woodbridge, NJ, where he left a will and died in 1764.
Many of Jonathan's children accompanied him to Woodbridge, but it's the family of Johanna Wood who interests me the most, since the family is completely undescribed. Jacob Wood and Johanna Daniels lived on Staten Island (as indicted by the New Jersey marriage records of some of their DNA-identified children). Later, they emigrated to Bucks County, PA, and shortly thereafter went on to Bedford County, PA. Daughters married along the way. It is likely that Frances was one of them.
The Morris family of Morristown NJ also sent a scion south to Bedford County - Henry - which makes the marriage plausible.
