About Frances Marion Toliver

Frances was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Burton. She married Lewis A. Toliver (son of John T. Toliver and Soloma C. Miller) abt. 2 Jan 1837 in Lawrence County, Indiana. They had twelve children of which eleven reached maturity. Some of their names were:

William H. George Washington Toliver John (b. 1845) Martin Mary J Robert (b. ca 1866) Sarah Wesley G.

Frances was a member of the Second Little Prairie Baptist Church in Clay County, IL of which many in the congregation were blood related or related through marriage. Her husband Lewis served as a detective for many years and his life abounded with many events of fraught and danger.
