About Frances Yale
Ben M. Angel notes: Originally, this person was listed as having been born in Awn Amwech on the Lleyn Peninsula in what was at one time Caernarfonshire in northern Wales. I was not able to verify the existence of an Awn Amwech.
Other sources for the birth location of Frances Lloyd, wife of David Yale, suggested Cevn Amwich, or Cefn Amwich. One such source, the Cambrian Register, also listed a John Griffith coming from this location in 1766:

One source on Find A Grave said that she didn't keep her maiden name in the New World, but that source also had her listed as being born and dying in England. (Presumably, the 1642 death date is correct.) Her burial location was also given as "unknown", meaning there is no grave stone to reference (as yet - it's unsaid whether there is the possibility that it might be found).
Under normal English cultural rules, she would have undergone a name change at marriage. If she had been named under traditional Welsh naming practices, she might have retained her birth patronymic, but from all appearances, she lived in a family that used English surname practices.
