Frances L. Bunnell Ziegler, 87, formerly of rural Veedersburg, died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove.

She was born near Elmdale, Indiana to the late Jacob Wesley and Zetta M. Herron Bunnell. She married Donald E. Ziegler on Dec. 3,1944. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1997.

Surviving are a daughter, Connie Frances Ziegler of Indianapolis; two sons, Rodney J. Ziegler (wife: Joy) of Beech Grove and Donald "Jack" Ziegler (wife: Jane) of Hillsboro; three sisters, Irene Sablic of Fort Wayne, Aurilla Ann Brewer of Crawfordsville and Judy K. Thomas of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Justin Ziegler, Daniel Ziegler (wife: Katie), Jennie Ziegler, April Ziegler and Benjamin Ziegler; 2 stepgrandchildren, Jenny Campbell (husband: Bob) and Chris Styer and a stepgreat-grandson, Ethan Campbell.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene June Ziegler and 2 sisters, Gladys Zachary and Ava Hinds.
