He married Nancy Menerva Gideon around 1837, in Tennessee. They had six children: Sophie, Mary, Perlina, William, Edward, and Amanda. After Nancy died in 1864, he married Rebecca Thomason, the daughter of John Matlock Thomason and Ladocia Fawcett, on January 2, 1864, in Stone County, Missouri. They had tenchildren: Nancy, Docia, Francis, David, Joseph, Alexander, John, Henderson, Thomason, and Olive. Francis served as a Sergeant in F Company, 14th Cavalry Regiment, Missouri State Militia (Union Army).He fought at the Battle of Ozark, Missouri. <p></p> <p># Maples Berry Cemetery, Stone Co., Missouri</p> <p># Note: This cemetery was the first one used in the Flood's or Pleasant View community, it's use was discontinued when the Pleasant View or Flood's Cemetery was established. It has no organized cleaning routine but is cleaned occasionally by individuals with family members buried there. This cemetery is located on a dirt road one mile east of the Hooton Town Bridge spanning James River (Listed March 28, 1988, by Ray Gold and Bill Logan) <p>Berry Cemetery directions from Sandra, 2009-</p> <p>From Springfield, MO take highway 160 to Nixa, Missouri and continue on south of Nixa to 00 highway which will turn to the right or west.
