He m., Jan. 25, 1853, Sarah Henrietta Bates, b. in Swanzey, Apr. 12, 1837 ; dau. of James L. and Sarah (Whittemore) Bates, who lived many years in S., at 180. She was living when the record was taken. He lived in S., at 180, 1861-2 ; and again, twenty years later, on the Geo. C. Hubbard farm, at 243. They had five ch. : 1.
