Obituary - J. Frank Ellison. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, WV. Thur., Aug. 9, 1956

J. Frank Ellison, 72-year-old retired coal miner of Kingwood, died at 2:45 a.m. yesterday at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi after a long illness. He was the son of the late James and Fannie Ellison.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Katie McCrobie Ellison; two sons, D.M. of Manown and Henry at home; four daughters, Mrs. James J. Hawkins of Masontown, Mrs. Harry Stuchel of Morgantown, Mrs. William Uphold and Mrs. Cloyd Uphold, both of Kingwood; one brother, Pete of Belle; one sister, Mrs. Nora Payton of St. Albens; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the late residence after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingwood EUB Church.. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.
