About Frank Everett
One of six siblings (three brothers and three sisters) who served in WW1. Registered as Frank Leslie Everett at birth, recorded as Frank Gordon Everett in military file.
Everett enlisted from Nelson, New Zealand and embarked with the 7th Reinforcements Field Artillery on 9 October 1915 from Wellington, New Zealand for Suez, Egypt. Everett enlisted and embarked with his step brother Gunner Ralph Watson. They both served with the artillery. On 15 October 1916 Watson was killed in action due to an enemy shell hitting a gun-pit where both Watson and Everett were stationed. Everett was seriously injured and was discharged as no longer physically fit for war services on 3 May 1917.
