Frank Olson

Frank William Olson was first a farmer. In early childhood Frank moved with his family to a farm home north of Funk, NE. After growing up in the Holdrege area, in 1923 he married his life long companion, Ethel. The Olson's first lived in Bertrand until about 1932. There Frank served as fireman and town Marshall. Next they lived in Holdrege, moving from Holdrege in 1936 to the family farm north of Funk. They remained there four years before moving to a farmstead near Moses Hill (1940). Finally in 1948, Frank and his wife made Holdrege their home once again. Frank was a farmer though he spent some later years as a road maintainer operator for Phelps Co, NE. He lived a quietly independent kind of life. He resided at 624 McMillan St., Holdrege, at his death.
