Fred Jorgenson (1949 – 2011)

Mr Jorgenson (62) was murdered on his farm Louisiana No. 40: stabbed to death with four knife-wounds.
The number of attackers totalled TEN of whom SIX were arrested and charged: all were black South African males. They also badly attacked his wife Tokkie. She survived her ordeal.

Mr Jorgenson's Norwegian Lutheran forebears settled in South Africa in an organised migration of European protestants from 1882 - who landed in then-Port Natal and were given land-parcels by the British authorities of that time - when the Boers had also been running their independent Boer Republics of the Transvaal and the Orange Free State.
