Fred Duglas Lane

Attends Last Rites of Fred Lane

Those attending the last rites of Fred D. Lane of Benton, held in the Rhoades Funeral Home at Mr. Ayr, with burial in the Benton Cemetery, were his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Ruby, his nieces and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Lane and daughters; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wilson, Larry and Janis, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Mrs. Earl Gaule and Deanna of Clearfield; his nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mackey, Mary-Helen and Ricky.

Among others from Clearfield were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baxter, Earl Gordon, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Routh.

Mr. Lane had been in failing health for some time. He passed away at the Clear View Nursing Home in Mt. Ayr on Saturday morning.

He is survived by three children; Marion Douglas (Doug) of Diagonal; Mrs. James Haley (Dorotha), who is employed by the Clear View Nursing Home in Clearfield; and Leo of Elkhart, Indiana.

The Lanes were former residents of Clearfield, a number of years ago.
