CUBA, IL - Fred W. "Ted" Kerr, 88, of 608 S. Sixth St. died at 1:58 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1992, at Graham Hospital Extended Care Facility in Canton, IL.
Born Aug. 4, 1904, in Rushville to William and Adra Hickman Kerr, he married Myra Ellen Freteug in 1922 in Palmyra, Mo. She died July 20, 1991.
He also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one half brother and three half sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Virgil R. and George W. "Bill," and one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Schinall, all of Cuba; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 44 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy of Cuba; and two half brothers, Marion Murphy of Albany, Ore., and Tom Murphy of Canton.
He was an underground coal miner for 38 years before he retired.
Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.
