Frederick James Austin

Frederick James Austin of New York, NY was a machinist who invented, among other things, a hand printing press for which he received U.S. Patent #41 on October 8, 1836.

The probate records for Frederick J. Austin's will mentions a brother Robert J. L. Austin of New York City and a sister Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Starr.
