MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 1 Mr. Brune was one of the leading members of the Baltimore Bar and was the third of the name who had spent their lives in Baltimore. His grandfather was a leading merchant during the first half of the century, and his father, with the late Judge George William Brown. In 1886 formed a law firm under the name Brown & Brune. Mr. Brune was born in Baltimore in 1854 and was educated at St. John's College, Annapolis, where he graduated in 1874. He afterwards graduated from Harvard Law School in 1876 and the Maryland University Law School in 1877. A year later his father died and at the age of 24, Mr. Brune was taken into the firm of Brown & Brune.The firat two years of his practice were devoted to criminal law. Since than the firm hass been composed of Gen. Stewart Brown, Arthur George Brown, and Mr. Brune, For over 20 years Mr. Brune practiced law as a member of the firm and by the devotion of all bisgenergies to his profession rose to a high rank. He was a strong ans finest speaker and a man of wide information and judgement. Mr. Brune took little part in poilitics, although always a conservative democrate. During the campaign of 1896 he was a member of the excutive commities of the Second Money Democratic Associations, which he supported the Palmer and Buckner ticket. Like his father and grandfather he was a member of Old Saint Paul's Church, and was identified with its work and charities. He was also an active member of the board of trustess of the Maryland school for the Blind and was counsel for the German Society. He spent a large of his time at his country place in the Green Spring Valley.

In 1885 he married the daughter of Mr. Samuel M. Shoemaker. Mrs. Blanche Shoemaker Brune died January 5, 1898.

Mr. Brune died after a brief attack of pneumonia.
