Frederick A. Case Dies at Home in Mt. Emmons
MT. EMMONS -- Frederick A. Case, 85, died Monday at 2:30 p.m. at his home here of causes incident to age.
Mr. Case was born in Manti September 8, 1860, a son of Solomon C. and Elizabeth Pectol Case. He spent most of his youth in Springville and Spanish Fork. He married Mary Ann Humble on March 2, 1884.
They pioneered at Jensen, Uintah County and when the Uintah reservation opened for homesteading they moved to what is now Mt. Emmons. Both at Jensen and Mt. Emmons he was activities and was a high priest at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife and the following sons and daughters, F. Earl Case, Mt. Emmons; Mrs. Eathel Neal, Keddie, California; Mrs. Jennie Goodrich, Bluebell; Floyd Case and Mrs. Mary Snyder, Mt. Emmons; William H. Case, Duchesne; Joseph Case, Ogden; Ross Case, Vernal and Mrs. Edna Pearson, Boneta; also a sister Mrs. Hannah E. Stewart of Spanish Fork; 37 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Emmons Ward Chapel.
