About Frederick H Harple
Frederick H. Harple died Sunday at 7 o'clock a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Fulmer in Lisbon. He had been a great sufferer for ten years or more which led to complicated ailments. He severely taxed the ability of his children to care for him. He was born in Washington Twp., Carroll County, December 11, 1827, hence had entered upon his 77th year. His wife passed away in the spring of 1888 and the intervening time he has passed among his children; George W. and Clement V. of Canton; Williard P. of Carrollton; Mrs. Fulmer of Lisbon and Mrs. Lawrence Wallace of alliance. The remains were brought to Carrollton Wednesday morning, and service held in the Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Rohling. Rev. G. M. Schmucker preached a good sermon in which he frequently referred to the virtues of the departed. Deceased was a farmer by occupation, an industrious and useful man, a good neighbor, and a life-long democrat. His every day life was in keeping with his professions as a church member.
