Fredrick Albert Bond was the second son of Bertie and Florance. Aged 14 he was awarded the royal humane society certificate for saving two people from drowning. The certificate was presented to him at his trinity road school

Corporal 6024591 was shot undertaking an army obstacle course on 23rd October 1942. His funeral service was held on the 29th October 1942 he is buried at Trinity church Springfield grave 216.
