Fritz HIRSCHMANN Was born in Furth, Germany on September 10, 1911. He died in Seattle on June 2, 2003 leaving his wife, friend and companion of 60 years, Trude Hirschmann. His brothers Hans Hirschmann (his wife Frieda) of Cleveland, Ohio and Ralph Hirschmann (his wife Lucy) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and many nephews and nieces. Fritz came to the United States in 1932 and served in the US Army in the Intelligence Corps during World War II. He received the Bronze Star for his valor in service. Public Accounting became Fritz's profession for most of his adult life. His love of hiking and climbing mountains, playing soccer and winning at Scrabble were close to his heart. He was an avid advocate for the underserved and spent much of his leisure time in his later years volunteering at the Senior Rights Assistance Program of Senior Services of Seattle and King County. Donations in his memory can be given to this program at 1601 2nd Ave., Suite 800, Seattle, WA. 98101. Fritz was a devoted and loving husband, a bright spirit with a wonderful smile and sense of humor and a deep sense of kindness towards everyone whose life he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. at Bleitz Funeral Home, 316 Florentia St., Seattle. Burial will follow the Funeral Services at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 700 W. Raye St., Seattle.
