George M. Dismukes served 2yrs in the 2nd Infantry U.S. Army WWI.
Charlotte: My Mom,Daisy( the youngest daughter) tells of how Grandpa would talk to his male friends in indian, but would not let her listen, he told her it was 'Man talk', and would make her leave. He was very old fashioned, she could not ware shorts when he was around. I know he worked on the railroad at one time. During WWI He spent 3 years 7 mo. in the infantry. He was a farmer, and a gentleman. I remember him being soft spoken and fearsome at the same time, near the end of his life he sat in his big black recliner and watched us kids out the front door. He died when I was 8 years old.
Grandpa's SS# was 441-10-2378
