About GLADYS LYDIA SCARLETT
I have the obit: she had been ill for several years. Death was attributed to complications. The funeral was held at Scarlett's funeral home Friday at 11 AM, and she was buried at Hillcrest mausoleum. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was born in Morris Michigan the daughter of Charles W.,-And Ella Alydia House. She went to Owosso high graduated and from there to Owosso business college. She stayed in Owosso until 1968. She was a member of Eastern Star, and worthy matron of Abigail chapter number 206. And a homemaker. Survivors include Robert Jennings Scarlett of Owosso; and two daughters Mrs. C. W. (Barbara Scarlett) Anderson, and Mrs. Carl (Mary Lou Scarlett) Taylor of Saginaw Michigan; 17 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Albert in 1968, her son William Avery in 1980, and her granddaughter Lynn Katherine Scarlett. I have memories of grandma she was a neat lady. I believe she took care of the books both at the cemetery and the funeral home. She was a great cook. She raised her children well. physical problems would be diabetes, and colon cancer. Right after grandpa's death in 1968 she moved to Bradington in Florida. and stayed there the rest of her days.
