Gary R. Bloomer, 76, passed away on Friday July 2, 2021, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 20, 1945, in Niskayuna, NY to parents Robert A. Bloomer and June E. (Turner) Bloomer. Following graduation from Burnt Hills Ballston Lake, he became a general contractor of custom homes for over 20 years. He completed his career as a construction sales manager at Bellevue Builders Supply in Rotterdam, NY.
Many mornings Gary could be found sipping coffee at the Burnt Hills Café. He was a motor man and loved almost anything on wheels. Gary enjoyed working with his hands and could always be found elbow deep in a project. Years ago, he volunteered as an ambulance driver at Ballston Lake Emergency squad.
He is survived by his adoring wife Jill Marie (Feldman) Bloomer; his children, Lisa Lynn (John) Maxwell, Shelli (Peter) Mailhes, Ryan (Kiley) Bloomer, Nicholas (Kelly) Bloomer, Garret (Stefanie) Bloomer; his stepdaughter Abbigail Stanley; his grandchildren, Victoria, Blake, Mikayla, Phoenix, Faith, Adrianna, Hayden, Troy, and he was awaiting the arrival of his new grandson; his brother, Charles (Heather) Bloomer; his sister Kimberly Mattison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his four-legged girls, Bella and Angel.
Gary is predeceased by his siblings, the late Karen Tongue and Dennis Bloomer.

Friends and relatives are invited and may call on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1 Marcus Blvd, Suite 104, Albany, NY 12205 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
