Gavin Carter (1970 – 2017)

Brief overview:

Gavin Carter (47), an Australian, was shot twice on the left side of his chest and died at the scene, after being attacked by six assailants. Gavin's girlfriend, who has not been named, survived unharmed. According to provincial police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala, three suspects entered the farm demanding money from Carter. The perpetrators took an amplifier, hifi, cellphone, clothing, groceries and other belongings before fleeing the scene.

Thobani Mbanjwa (19), Sandile Mbanjwa (26), Mandlenkosi Ncobeni (38), Zwelithini Ncubeni (37) Thobani Shoba (27) were arrested, and Lulekani Shezi (29) released.
