Genese Sapp

Genese Sapp, 64, died Jan. 29 at her residence in Hagan. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren Sapp. She was a native of Appling County, but had resided in Evans County for the past 40 years. Mrs. Sapp was a childhood member of Williamson Chapel and a member of the Concerted Services Senior Citizens Group.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lori Sapp of Bryan County and Kenny Sapp of Evans County; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Eric Sapp of Claxton; three step-sons, J.L. Sapp of Hortense, Paul and Barry Sapp, both of Evans County; four step-daughters, Claudine Womble and Barbara Murphy, both of Evans County, Irene Akins of Bulloch County and Clydette Cruz of Texas; two brothers, H.L. Williamson and Guyton Williamson of Vidalia; one sister, Bernice Jackson of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Erica, Faith, Alex, Phillip, Victoria and Taylor Sapp; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 31, 2 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Brewton Cemetery.
