George Bachman, a retired West Cornwall township farmer, died at seven o'clock on Tuesday evening at his home on the Mt. Gretna Road from pneumonia, following an illness of one week. He was 76 years old and leaves his wife and five children, as follows: Mrs. Monroe Krall, of Iona; Stephen Bachman, Iona; Harvey, Mary and Oscar Bachman, at home. A brother, John Bachman, resides near Bismarck, and there are also two sisters, Miss Sarah Bachman at Annville, and Mrs. Joseph Reist, of this city. He was a member of the Reformed church and a member of its Board of Elders for sixteen years. [Lebanon Daily News, May 31, 1916]
