brick maker and mason, 1860 Census in Summit Co, Wisconsin. 1880 Census in Homer, Iowa living with son, Loren. Died before 1885. On 30 March 1877 he and Phoebe of Benton County had sold land to their son George and on 29 October of that year they had sold land in Tama to their son Loren. In 1885 Phoebe, widowed, was at the home of her son Clark in Monticello, Iowa. He moved to Oconomowock, Wisconsin before 1850. He and his family are in the 1860 census of Summit, Waukesha County, Wisconsin. Later they moved to Dryden, Benton County, Iowa.

Died of paralysis and old age. Moved to Wisconsin in 1844. Moved to Benton County in 1865. Up until 1881 was a strong ambitious man. was stricken with paralysis for last 3 years. For last 1-1/2 years resided with son Clark. Helpless but his wants have been tenderly attended to. Phebe, widow, was 81. Seven children survived him - all over 40. First death in family for 50 years. Obituary.
