CHRISTIAN DIES AT GLENN GENERAL
Funeral services are pending at the F. D. Sweet & Son chapel here for George Calvin Crane (Cal) CHRISTIAN, who died this morning at Glenn General Hospital, where he had been a patient for only a few days after a lengthy stay in a convalescent home.
He was a lifelong resident of Orland and had worked on many local ranches until his retirement was forced by ill health. He was born at Orland Sept 7, 1899.
A single man, he is survived by three sisters and two brothers, all but one of Orland. His sisters are Viola Seavers, Rovilla McNealy and Metta Walker, all of Orland, and his surviving brothers are Oscar F. Christian of Orland and Granville Christian, of Salyer, Trinity County, Another brother, James H. Christian, of Orland, preceded him in death by only two weeks. –Researched and Transcribed by E.
