Obituary from The Daily Times-Mail, Bedford, IN, May 22, 1971:

GEORGE CONLON

Bedford native George Conlon, 55, a resident of 209 Winchester, Jeffersonville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Bedford Medical Center at 9:30 p.m. last night after apparently suffering a heart attack while driving his automobile on south M street.

He was taken to the hospital by York Ambulance Service with Bedford Police administering mouth-to-mouth resuscitation enroute.

Mr. Conlon died while visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Conlon of Bedford. He formerly operated the Greyhound bus station here, and was employed as an auto salesman for Wilcox Chevrolet in Jeffersonville at the time of his death. He had been ill about two years.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Jeffersonville and the Elks Club there.

Surviving, beside his parents, are his wife, Geraldine Shaver Conlon; two sons, John A., Salem, and Robert, Franklin, Indiana; one daughter, Becky at home; one granddaughter; one brother, William Conlon, Muncie and several nieces and nephews.

The body was prepared for burial at Day & Carter Mortuary and transferred to Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville where services will be held Monday, May 24. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Friends may call at the Scott Funeral home after 6:00 p.m. today.
