George Samuel Conrad, Sr

Husband of Asenath, (surname unknown).

Father of Mary Jane, James Dempsey, George Jr and William.

George served in the NY Militia during the War of 1812.

I don't know when they were married, but I suspect it was in New York and after his service in the War of 1812. Their first child, Mary Jane, was born in 1816. They lived first in Cato, Cayuga, New York in 1820 where all their children were probably born. In 1830 the family lived in Lysander, Onandaga, NY according to census records. In 1836 they removed to Troy, Geauga, OH acc ording to the "History of Geauga County, OH", where both Acenath and George died. George was living with his son George Jr. in the 1860 census and he died in 1864.
