After a residence in Somerset, up to 1820, four or five years perhaps, father J. George Daniel bought the southeast one-fourth section 22, Thorn, Perry county. Grandfather Daniel died in Pennsylvania, at the advance age of ninety-four. It was this grand- father Daniel that was the brother of grandmother Foster, wife of Rev. William Foster. J. George
