About George Leslie Daniel
GEDCOM Note
«b»Yorke Peninsula Farmer, 25 July 1924. Melton. «/b» AN UNFORTUNATE FAMILY. - We regret to report an unfortunate accident which befell Mr B.W. Daniel, son of Mr J.H. Daniel. He was shifting a ten-horse team from one paddock to another, when part of the team attempted to get away. In trying to stop the runaways Mr Daniel was caught between one horse and the chain trace, and was only released from his perilous position by the animal treading on his foot. The chain came into contact with his neck and the side of his face which were very badly bruised. The injuries, though not dangerous, have been very painful. Mr Daniel considers that he had a very fortunate escape. On Sunday evening Mr Ellis Daniel, a younger brother, was riding for the cows, when his horse fell and his foot was injured. Medical aid was sought and it was found that some of the small bones of the foot were fractured, which will necessitate Ellis being off duty for several weeks. Mr G.L. Daniel, an elder brother, is still on crutches as the result of a fall which broke the small bone of his right leg.
